Indication

General dry skin, keratosis pilaris (KP), post-LHR body care, post-waxing recovery, post-procedure body, atopic-prone skin. Indicated as Step 3 in the pH Balance Protocol — the only clinically validated body moisturiser in the SkinQ Rx range. Brings body skin to pH 5.29 — the same acid mantle window as the face products.

Mechanism of Action

A pH-buffered body moisturiser combining deep humectancy, barrier lipid replacement, and gentle keratolysis — designed for body skin which loses moisture faster and at higher TEWL rates than facial skin while requiring the same acid mantle preservation.

Urea (5%) — clinically validated keratolytic threshold for KP without the irritation of higher concentrations. Breaks down excess keratin plugs and draws water deep into stratum corneum. Drives the +62% Corneometer improvement.

Lactic Acid (body-safe AHA) — gentle epidermal cell turnover smooths rough body skin (contributing to +17% gloss). Inherent low pH helps buffer formula to pH 5.29 target.

Glycerin (99.7%) — high-purity humectant counteracts moisture loss from frequent bathing and clothing friction. Forms soft occlusive layer.

pH 5.29 buffering — most body lotions sit at pH 6.5–8.0, leaving body skin chronically alkaline. This product brings body skin to optimal acid mantle range.

Dosage & Administration

Apply twice daily after bathing — AM and PM. Skin should be slightly damp (towel-dried, not bone dry) for optimal humectant action.
Dispense generous amount; spread evenly over arms, legs, torso, back of neck.
Massage in until fully absorbed. Lightweight texture absorbs without leaving residue under clothing.
Reapply after pool/sea-water exposure or after extended sun exposure.

Frequency

AM + PM Daily. Twice-daily dosing required for sustained hydration response. The +25% sustained hydration at 24 hours assumes consistent twice-daily use.

Onset Expectation (KP)

3–4 weeks for visible KP improvement with twice-daily use. Full smoothing effect at 6–8 weeks. Urea keratolytic works gradually to dissolve accumulated keratin plugs.

Post-Procedure Use

Safe from Day 1 post-LHR (laser hair removal), post-waxing, post-body-laser. The 5% urea concentration and pH 5.29 formulation does not exacerbate post-procedure erythema.
