Indication

Hydration restoration. Post-procedure home care. Barrier support for Fitzpatrick III–VI skin types. Indicated as Step 2 in the Hydration Protocol — applied AM and PM after cleansing as the active treatment layer that the balm subsequently seals.

Mechanism of Action

A layered hydration system — humectants draw water in at multiple depths while peptides rebuild the dermal matrix and barrier actives prevent it escaping.

Hyaluronic Acid draws up to 1000× its weight in water into the stratum corneum. Drives the +40% Corneometer reading at 30 minutes and the +54.5% plump score.

Sodium Hyaluronate penetrates deeper than HMW HA. Maintains intra-epidermal hydration levels that reduce transepidermal water loss (+12% TEWL improvement).

Pro Vitamin B5 converts to Pantothenic Acid in skin. Stimulates cellular repair, lipid synthesis, and wound healing. Reduces sensitivity in compromised post-procedure skin.

Vitamin E neutralises ROS elevated in UV-exposed and post-procedure skin. Synergises with HA to protect the hydrated environment from free radical degradation.

Dosage & Administration

Apply to clean skin immediately after the Skin Balance Gentle Cleanser — do not let skin dry out before application.
Dispense 3–4 drops and warm between fingertips. Press gently into cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin in an upward motion.
Allow 60 seconds for absorption before the next step — the lightweight texture absorbs rapidly without residue.
Follow with Hydra Fix Balm (Step 5) to seal the serum layer and complete the barrier stack.
AM only: follow the Balm with Photo Defense SPF50+ as the final step.

Frequency

AM + PM Daily. Twice-daily dosing sustains the elasticity and smoothness response. Results at 24 hours reflect cumulative use — under-dosing (once daily) reduces the measured outcome.
