Objective
28-day double-blind evaluation of skin brightening (L*), tan reduction (ΔE*), smoothness, and hydration on Indian female subjects with wheatish to dark complexion. Primary: safety and efficacy. Secondary: cosmetic acceptability and subject self-evaluation.

Methodology
Double-blind, non-comparative study. N=34 Indian female subjects, age 18–45, wheatish to dark skin, dry skin type. Corneometer (hydration), Chromametry (L* brightening, ΔE* tan reduction), dermatologist evaluation (smoothness, 0–9 scale). Subject self-evaluation with Chi-squared statistical analysis (p<0.05). Timepoints: T0, T+7, T+14, T+28 days. Conducted at Mascot Spincontrol India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (ICH-E6 GCP compliant).

Findings
Progressive hydration improvement from +23.4% at T+7 to +59% at T+28. Tan reduction increased progressively: −5.88% at T+7, −11.19% at T+14, −16.56% at T+28. Brightening L* improved +2% at T+28. Smoothness improved +29.41% at T+28. 100% of subjects reported reduced tanning and brightened skin tone at T+28 (p<0.05). 0 adverse events.
